{"id":3006,"date":"2021-11-01T08:45:29","date_gmt":"2021-11-01T08:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/usrl.cyi.ac.cy\/?page_id=3006"},"modified":"2021-11-01T09:14:38","modified_gmt":"2021-11-01T09:14:38","slug":"tna-access","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/usrl.cyi.ac.cy\/?page_id=3006","title":{"rendered":"TNA Access"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">USRL TNA services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>USRL\nparticipates in the ATMO-ACCESS (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atmo-access.eu\/\">https:\/\/www.atmo-access.eu\/<\/a>) and ACTRIS IMP (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.actris.eu\/\">https:\/\/www.actris.eu\/<\/a>) projects. In the\nframework of these projects, the multidisciplinary USRL team, consisting of electrical\/\nelectronic engineers, software engineers, composite material engineers, UAV\npilots and experienced researchers in atmospheric sciences, provides services\nand infrastructure access (TNA) to interested research groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nparticular, in the framework of <strong>ACTRIS\nIMP<\/strong>, USRL provides the following services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>UAV-based,\nvertical and horizontal atmospheric sampling and plume tracking, with\ncommercial or custom-made sensors fulfilling ACTRIS QA\/QC and SOPs, up to\n22.000 ft. (day &amp; night operation)<\/li><li>Customized\nsensors\u2019 integration in UAV platforms (fixed or rotary wing), field tests and\nshort measurement campaigns<\/li><li>Testing\/\nvalidation of lightweight instrumentation in the weather chamber<\/li><li>Quality\ntraining of UAV end-users (safety, good practices, SOPs related to sensor\nintegration)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nthe framework of <strong>ATMO-ACCESS <\/strong>project,\nUSRL provides the subsequent services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In-house\ndevelopment of rotary or fixed-wing UAS for flying lightweight sensors <\/li><li>Fabrication\nof composite UAVs and components<\/li><li>Design,\ndevelopment and testing of customized sensors in collaboration with the private\nsector and\/or other academic partners<\/li><li>Prototype\nUAV platforms\u2019 testing <\/li><li>High-altitude\natmospheric profiling with USRL proprietary UAV-balloon system<\/li><li>Testing\/\nvalidation of lightweight instrumentation in the weather chamber<\/li><li>Quality\ntraining of UAV end-users (safety, good practices, SOPs related to sensor\nintegration)<\/li><li>International\nfield campaigns deployment <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In\naddition, USRL can provide access to its <a href=\"https:\/\/usrl.cyi.ac.cy\/?page_id=2206\">infrastructure<\/a> which includes a private\nairfield, a mobile ground control station, a specialized electromechanical\nworkshop, a composite materials laboratory and an instrumentation lab. Interested\nresearch groups can also have access to the large, diverse <a href=\"https:\/\/usrl.cyi.ac.cy\/?page_id=1834\">fleet<\/a> of fixed and\nrotary-wing UAS (with payload capacity up to 10kg)
